church administrator (part time)
We are looking to appoint a part-time Church Administrator to support the smooth running of church life, who will be a practising Christian, who is organised, proactive, warm, and confident with systems and communication.
Role Overview

Oversee weekly church communications

Keep website and ChurchSuite up to date

Manage the office inbox & act as first point of contact

Coordinate bookings for Christ Church House

Prepare Sunday service materials
-
Support safer recruitment processes
-
Assist with financial admin
-
Provide admin support to staff and elders
We're looking for
-
A mature evangelical disciple of Jesus Christ
-
Someone grounded in Scripture and prayer
-
Someone who loves people and works collaboratively
-
Someone who helps sustain unity within church life
-
A person with strong administrative, communication, IT, and organisational skills
-
Someone dependable, detail‑focused, and flexible
-
Someone able to support a fast‑paced staff team
Details

Part-time 24 hours per week
-
Salary: £28k-£32k pa (£18.2k-20.8k) pro-rota for 24 hours per week

We are always looking for Ministry Trainees to join us for one year (possibly extending to a second year), and we can be flexible in terms of start dates to suit the applicant. Ministry Trainee Roles
We are always looking for Ministry Trainees to join us for one year (possibly extending to a second year).
This flexible position is ideal for someone considering the possibility of a full-time gospel worker-role in the future or wanting training to be a more effective member of a church family.
There are opportunities for focused involvement in one or two areas of church life including:

Children’s ministry (1-11s),

Music Ministry

Church service media team (sound/projection/camera/livestreaming)

Within the Ministry Trainee role there are three main strands of work:

Getting real ministry experience

Providing administrative and practical support

Being trained (both formally and informally)
All appointments are subject to an Enhanced DBS check (with barred list check), in line with the Church of England's Safer Recruitment practices.
Music Ministry Trainee
We are also privileged to have an exciting Music Ministry here at Christ Church Cockfosters. This means we have wonderful opportunities to take on Music Ministry Trainees with us. Here’s what the role looks like
This position is ideal for someone considering the possibility of a full-time music ministry post in the future or wanting training to be a more effective leader and member of a church music team. You will work closely with the Music Minister to lead and administer the music at Christ Church and be a member of our Music Ministry team of around 30 regular musicians.
Opportunities to grow in areas of music ministry include:

Band leading

Service planning and song choosing

Discipling and training musicians

Musical skills including singing, learning additional instruments and song writing

Orchestrating and arranging

Choir directing and orchestra management
-
Church service media team (sound/projection/camera/livestreaming)

Music administration
Alongside music ministry, trainees will usually get involved in one other ministry in church life.
