Sunday Evenings 6:00pm - 7:00pm
We recognise that different service styles are helpful to different people, therefore our services each have a distinct character. The timings of our services are currently under review but historically we have had 3 different services on a Sunday as outlined below. We look forward to welcoming you back into our Church Building as soon as we are able!
Our 9am service is a more traditional and liturgical service. The service is either a service of Holy Communion or Morning Prayer. We typically sing three hymns, accompanied by the organ, have intercessions and a Bible reading, followed by a talk from the Bible lasting about 20 minutes. The whole service lasts around an hour.
Our 10.30am service has a blend of modern worship songs and traditional hymns led by our musicians. We have groups for children aged 0-14 at this service so it tends to have a strong family feel. The children start in the service for the first 15 or 20 minutes before heading out to their groups. Again, there are prayers and a Bible reading with a talk from the Bible lasting about 25 minutes. Once a month we share the Lord’s Supper together. The whole service lasts around 75 minutes and is followed by refreshments.
Our 6 pm service has a relaxed and contemporary feel. We mainly sing modern worship songs led by one of our bands and again there will be prayers and a reading from Scripture. The Bible talk is typically 25 minutes long and we share bread and wine together once a month. The service is typically around 70 minutes but people often stay around much longer chatting together over refreshments. Our older youth group (14-18s) meets after the evening service from 7.30-8.15pm.
