Abigail Christie
Pastoral Associate for Women (Tues, Wed, Sun)
Originally from Bromley, Abigail moved to North London in 2021 to study at Oak Hill Theological College, before joining the staff team here in September 2024. Within her role, she seeks to support women in their discipleship, helping them to love Jesus through the joys and struggles of life. Alongside this, she is doing some further study with Biblical Counselling UK and also continues to help with some of our Youth and Children’s groups. With a passion for those with additional needs, she is a great blessing to many in our church family and an asset to our team.
Beccy Ratcliff
House Cafe Minister (Mon-Wed)
Beccy is married to Mark with four adult children and one grandson! Originally working as a midwife in Bath and London, God brought them to CCC 30+ years ago and has grown a passion in Beccy for developing her team of volunteers to create the warm welcome and spiritual hub of our community space, The House Cafe.

After Jesus, knitting, reading and cooking are high on Beccy's list of priorities. She looks forward to meeting you in the House Cafe!
Celeste Tilley
Minister for Pastoral Care and Communication (Mon-Thurs)
Celeste is married to Tim and they have two teenage daughters and Marlo the dog. Celeste became a Christian at 14 at CCC and has been here since. Having joined the staff team in 2020 working with Vava she moved into a new role in September 2024 and is excited to see how God will use her to help grow our pastoral care ministry, working closely with Jonnie and Rhianna. Chris Edwards
Associate Vicar
Chris and Karen returned to the Christ Church family in 2021 to serve as Associate Vicar and they have two adult children. Among other things, Chris loves Jesus, music, fresh air, and trying to mend things. Chris is an Elder alongside Jon and Jonnie and has responsibility for our midweek discipleship and Life Groups, evangelism and shares the mainstream teaching.
Claire Hammer
Finance Administrator (p/t)
Claire was a member of CCC for many years before setting off with a team to plant Grace Church Highlands back in 2007 with husband Jeff and their two girls. Claire loves crunching the numbers and works as our Finance Administrator part time. She is very happy to help anyone with their financial giving, and provides invaluable support to our Treasurer.
David Gibson
Music Minister
David proudly hails from Bangor, Northern Ireland and before joining the staff at Christ Church Cockfosters in 2019, he studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and worked as a freelance pianist, composer and arranger. David is married to Katy and they have one child and another on the way! They enjoy serving in church together, as well as sharing in Katy’s ministry to professional performers through the organisation ‘West End Has Faith’. David leads our Music Ministry and Media Team and our 20’s/30’s Life Group. Amongst other things, he oversees the planning of our services and lends a creative eye to our publicity.
Duncan Gitu
Events Support (p/t)
Duncan is married to Juliette and, along with their four children, they have been members of our church family for many years. Duncan provides support and cleaning services for many of our venue bookings ensuring our premises can be a blessing to the local community.
Elia Casotti
Deputy House Cafe Minister and Site Manager (p/t)
Elia is married to Joelle and they have two teenage daughters. As Deputy House Café Minister, Elia brings an Italian flavour to our catering and you'll find him in the Cafe Thursdays and Fridays but he is always lending a hand where needed.
He loves to tell others about the good news of Jesus and he is very rarely without a smile on his face as he serves his church family in and around our buildings.

Jonathon Burrows
Youth Minister
Jonathon is married to Sarah, they have four children. He is a sports enthusiast and would happily have a game of tennis or round of golf with you. Jonathon's main focus is teaching our young people, training, equipping and growing our team of youth ministers, supporting parents as they seek to disciple their children and seeking to reach out to the youth in our community with the good news of Jesus. He's always keen to catch up one-to-one with adults and young people. Come and say hello!
Jon Tuckwell
Vicar
Jon is married to Ruth and they have three young adult children. He enjoys making (and breaking) things and often has a DIY or upcycling project on the go. Jon is one of our elders alongside Chris and Jonnie, and together they have pastoral oversight for the church family. Jon is responsible for setting our strategic vision, for discipleship and our teaching and preaching programmes. He is also a governor at Trent Primary School, our church school.
Jonnie Armstrong
Curate
Jonnie is married to Erica and they have three young children and they love being back at Christ Church Cockfosters, with Jonnie serving as Curate. Jonnie is an Elder alongside Jon and Chris and has responsibility for our seniors ministry, Mission Partners, pastoral care development and shares in the mainstream teaching on Sundays. He is also hoping to lead a church plant from CCC in 2026.
Karen Sleeman
Minister for Pastoral Care and Counselling
Karen shares in the pastoral ministry of the church and runs the pastoral counselling ministry which is Christ-centred, whole person orientated and relationally rooted. This ministry serves families and individuals (children, teenagers and adults) who are struggling or suffering with life’s hardships, abuse of any kind, or anyone who would like to think more about how scripture applies to the daily realities of their lives. She also supports and disciples’ parents to lead with grace and confidence. She is a trained facilitator for courses that support parents who are struggling with conflict in their home, have sensitive or intense children, or who want to build secure relationships with their children. She and her husband Matthew have six children, including a foster daughter and love worshipping Jesus with us here at Cockfosters.
Marion Poojari
Pastoral Associate (p/t)
Marion is married to Mitesh and they have two boys. They moved from India in 2019 for Mitesh's job. Marion is a teacher by profession and loves singing and spending time with family and friends.
Marion serves on the staff team as the Pastoral Associate for Welcoming and enjoys helping people settle into the church family.
Rhianna Drye
Ministry Trainee
Rhianna spent three years as a preschool teacher but felt God draw her into Christian ministry, and to Cockfosters. Rhianna moved from New Zealand to join our team in 2024 and works full time with Mondays studying at Cornhill Bible College. You'll find her assisting with our Sunday music ministry, midweek with our seniors and youth ministries, and in the office handling our administration. She'd be pleased to hear from you if you have any queries relating to church life.
Seb Powell
Ministry Trainee
Originally from South Africa, Seb moved to Cockfosters in 2022 and having spent a year perfecting his barista skills, joined the staff team as full time Ministry Trainee, spending Wednesdays studying at Cornhill Bible College. Seb is great at bringing people together and supports the young adults Life Group, assisting with our Sunday music ministry and leading Treasure Seekers, overseeing our hall bookings and assisting with administration in the office. We like to keep our trainees busy.
Tom Inman
Children and Families' Minister
Tom is married to Roo and they have two young boys. Tom trained and worked as a Speech and Language Therapist before moving into full-time Christian ministry. He loves sport but since marrying Roo, he seems to have found himself spending more time enjoying countryside walks and period dramas! Tom leads the Childrens and families' ministry, spending his time equipping individual families and the whole church family to raise children as disciples of Jesus. He also co-ordinates our Ministry Trainees; is our Church Safeguarding Officer; links regularly with Trent School; and meets with individuals for counselling.
Vava Tsioupra
Operations Manager
Vava is a North Londoner, married to Elena, with two daughters. He is a lifelong fan of Spurs and loves reading and barbecuing for friends and family. Vava started his journey as a Christian after attending a men’s breakfast at another church and loves being part of the CCC team that runs the same event here. Vava is responsible for so many things behind the scenes but you'll find him looking after us all on Sunday mornings as he pulls the logistics together each week. He oversees the administration and fabric of our buildings, all with a smile on his face!
Nicki Hooke
Church Warden
Nicki is married to David, and they have three adult sons. Alongside teaching flute and theory in local schools, and singing whenever the opportunity arises, she works with David for the Asaph Christian Trust, sharing the good news about Jesus through musical presentations and concerts. Nicki has been part of our church family for nearly 30 years and we are grateful to her to be serving as Church Warden. Matt Lanstone
Church Warden
Matt is married to Jacs and they have three sons, two dogs and one cat. After a 30-year career in finance, Matt is in his third year as an Ordinand at Oak Hill Theological College. He is a keen cyclist, a passionate rugby supporter and a patient Spurs fan. Matt became a Christian in his mid-30s and has enjoyed a number of roles at Christ Church including Life Group leader, Treasurer, and Pathfinders leader and is currently one of our Church Wardens, for which we are grateful. Clare Osborne
Assistant Church Warden
Clare has been a member of the church family here at CCC for several years and serves on our PCC and in the Tech team supporting our Sunday services. Toks Adebiyi
Treasurer
Toks is married to Abi and they have two young daughters - they love Jesus and attending CCC. Toks became Treasurer in 2024 and is helping us overcome our embarrassment about money, and finding joy in giving to God's work here in Cockfosters! He works closely with our Finance team and PCC.
